Mediterranean Family Vacations
This summer, a family wedding near Barcelona became the perfect excuse for a Mediterranean vacation.
We started in Barcelona where we enjoyed amazing food, including a Venezuelan restaurant (a rare treat for me living in Germany). While I skipped the touristy spots (it wasn’t my first visit), I soaked up quality time with my family. One highlight was a visit to Montserrat for a short hike. The views were beautiful.
Next, we boarded a cruise, a trip my parents had dreamed of taking with us. Our first stop was Genoa, Italy, where my brother, who had recently been there, took the lead.
We explored the Spiaggia di Boccadasse and the city center. Of course, we had to try some authentic Genovese pesto and ended the day at the fantastic Trattoria da Maria.
In Marseille, my brother and I took charge again. Without a plan, we explored Le Vieux Port and the stunning Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica. We walked around the city and enjoyed a local meal to end a beautiful day.
An unforgettable trip filled with family time, laughter and delicious food.
